My first experience in a Hotel in Amsterdam was at Swissotel Amsterdam.. The Hotel is situated just in the center of the city.. Dam square is the main center where many attractions are taking place and the hotel is just one building to the square.. In the first floor lays the reception and the restaurants..The restaurant is privately operated so it has a separate entrance from outside for other guests.. The hotel has rooms for both non-smokers and smokers.. The rooms are very well decorated and has quiet enough space. The hotel has wireless service inside the rooms, so if you have a WiFi laptop you can use in the hotel for internet connections..
Unique Qualities: Bathrooms are very nice...

Believe me this hotel is one of the best value hotel in Amsterdam.. I have been to Amsterdam at leat 10 times and mostly stayed at Swissotel Amsterdam. During my last vist, I have to arrange another hotel for the first three days due to hotel occupancy, so I choosed this hotel through the comments on Tripadvisor. The hotel is located just off the Rembrandt square. Take care there are two Eden Rembrandt hotel. Onne of them is Best Western Eden Rembrandt and the other one is Eden Rembrandt Square, which I choosed to stay in. You can reach the hotel by a taxi from the Centraal station ( 9 €) or by tram 4,16 and 25 which stops at Rembrandt square and walk 70 meters to the Hotel. The hotel is a new hotel and can easily be named as a modern Hotel. The centrally located hotel gives you a good challenge to discover amsterdam and the rooms are so comfortable. The bathroom is very nice and good quality soaps, shower gels are making a long bath very enjoyable. The beds, are marvellous. I can tell that I had one of the nicest beds after so many years. The only bad part is you wont even want to wake up. All rooms are equipped with an LCD tv and more than 20 international channels and also pay tv channels. One very good thing of the hotel is that they offer a free internet connection. There are two desktops in the lobby and wireless network. If you carry your laptop, you can easily connect and also there is an LAN connection in the room free of charge. It is not easy to find free internet connection in Amsterdam in many places. After my stay at Eden, I passed to Swissotel again, but I suppose next time I will totally stay ar Eden..
