"Hammamet" Hammamet by Erkmen
Hammamet Travel Guide: 170 reviews and 428 photos
Hammamet is around 60 km from the Tunisia airport. It takes approx. 45 minutes to reach there.
Hammamet is known to be the Tunusian riviera, When I see the the white sands, clean sea and long tidy beach, it deserves to be named like this. The beach is a nice place to swim, and rest under the sun. Though you might see many sellers trying to sell souvenirs or fake items to you, they do not insist and dont disturb so much. The sand was so smooth that it doesnt stick to your body, just by a gentle touch they all go away from your body and you can enjoy sitting or playing in the sand. While we were there the sea was cold but still we tried to swim. You shall be careful while swimming cause the sand below your leg is going so easily after a tide.
Hammamet city center is a small touristic town. On the center there is the old castle and around the seaside there are cafes and restaurants.
Inside the castle there is the Medina, old city of Hammamet, a real attractive place with nice houses, narrow roads and very nice doors.

The Berber restaurant and Brauhaus is a real tourist trap where they show you to the best tables and try to make you order the most expensive dish. Food is poor and expensive, we ordered lambchops that were so tough that they couldn´t be eaten.
looks great,do you know what sort of clus you can hire?
....five dinars (stars) page! lovely country ,and vacation spot!
Good page, I saw that you mentioned the café "Sidi bou hadid". We also loved this café and went there almost every time we were downtown.
