La Vega is a city with many traditions, including the carnaval of La Vega, which is exemplary for it's amazing Diablos, you have to be there when the carnaval kicks off, and the entire city it's a huge party for several days, appart from this the region is home to the biggest cattle and farming centers in the Dom. Rep., one need only mention the name Rivera any place in the country to get the answer: La Vega, where Pedro A. Rivera Co. is located, makers of the renown Salami Induveca, one if not the best Salami in the country hands down, this region where the soil is as good to the farmer as well to the cafe(Coffee) industry established there.
