Trip to Beijing

by oldmonk_92129 - last update: Aug 17, 2003

China's capital city

Beijing is my latest sojourn. I have had the opportunity to go to Beijing on business in August 2003.
I think that this is the most unique city that I have visited so far. It has so many things to offer - From ancient history to shopping to nightlife to all trappings of a modern bustling city. There looks to be so much to do in this city.
Beijing at night is nice!!! The whole city is lit up in neon and downtown looks great
Will keep updating this page.

Ah, yes, China is phenomenal for great gastronomical experiences! And I see the "temporary" art exhibition is still going -- I met one of these "students" too, in 2002... Good show!

My similar experience: The art students wanted to 'practice English' and invited me to their school. To my surprise, I ended up ... in an art school, and (no surprise) they showed me their art. They were quite good, and I bought two for $5 or so each.
