Ok, my first text here, so please be lenient :-)

I could start my intro by explaining why I didn't choose a home-city. Well, I spent my first 20 years in a very small town (4000 inhabitants) in a region called Hunsrueck. For those of you not knowing Germany so well (probably most people here), it's halfway between Frankfurt and Luxemburg. I will add some more infos and pictures some day and grant Kirchberg an extra page. The next bigger city would be Koblenz but I don't want to set this as "home" because I wasn't there very often.
Then I have a "second home" for some years now (spending about 2/3 of a year studying there) and that's right on the other side of the country, so I chose to be at home in Germany. That second place is Cottbus, a 100.000-people-town located in the "far east" between Berlin and Dresden near the Polish border.

Well, I'll see how much info I can share here. I am neither a good photographer nor a good story teller, but maybe I can add some info, other people didn't mention. I don't have a digi-cam and only dads cheap scanner, so the fotos are a little bit "degenerated" for technical reasons, but anyway... who cares?

BIG NEWS !!! ;-)
I'm away soon, far far away... finally!
Almost 3 months in southern South-America, flying to Santiago de Chile at Dec. 9th, spending Christmas-time in Mendoza (Arg) and then to whereever the roads might go. Mainly Argentina, some of Chile of course because of my flight, and maybe Bolivia, who knows.

Well... I'm still here, somehow... but when I started here I had neither a job nor family. With "one and a half" of these, I just don't have that much spare time and interests did shift... maybe I'll get more active later again.
Hannover did win the award "geographical and social centre of my life".

Ok, found these two pics and thought that I could use them for a short update about three things I like (besides eating sweets *winking at certain VT menbers* and others)

I really like cats!
Unfortunately I don't have pets right now, but some day... maybe even one of those big ones ;-)

And the second thing about those two special cats... well, I like to "think different", maybe you know what I mean :-)

Diplomacy board

This game isn't very well known here in Germany, so some special greetings to all the Diplomacy-players out there! It's fun to negociate agreements and contracs and lie and stab your fellow neighbour... :-) By e-mail or (even better) with some other people and some music and some beer... you get the picture.

I lived in Kirchberg when I was little. I've been wanting to visit again, but need some advice on flights, hotels, etc.? Do you have any suggestions?
