Decatur ---for now I live in Decatur, AL, for the time being. Work is.....involved with the US troubled economy. :) I go where they tell me, provided they continue paying me.
When I lived in Chattanooga and Knoxville, TN, travel was a LOT easier. Interstates surrounded those transportation hubs. Now it takes an hour to reach an interstate.
And do I ever miss those Calhoun, GA, factory outlet store safaris with my mom & her friends.
I have Boaz, AL, but not the fun with Mom.
One must-do activity for Decatur is our annual hot air balloon race, the weekend before Memorial Day. (May 24th & 25th for 2003). Very surreal at dawn. |
