I traveled here when I was maybe 12. I used to come here every summer for three years (thatýs a good chunk of childhood). Sadly all I can remember is this:
There was this local pool by a lake. It was my first time and was swimming with goggles on when I happened to stumble on a floating terd. I was terrified and I ran to get my bike when I hit a rusty medal pole. The next day was spent in a doctorýs office getting a tetanus shot.

The only other thing I can remember is I used to walk to a Amoco station by my house to get candy. The custodial person was a senior named Joe. When he would see me he would put his arm around me and carry on 20 minute long conversations. However I could not understand a word he said because his lack of teeth.

Wow.......Alabama left one impression on me
