Melbourne is almost the city of opportunity. There are plenty of things to indulge on; including sports, shopping, crown casino, zoos and botanical gardens, river cruises. Almost in every suburb there is something going on. The city of Melbourne is very clean, and like most of Australia, people are extremely friendly. The city skyline is also stunning and is different every day you look at it. |
| Entering melbourne from geelong. |
| | From Geelong, or Werribee, or anyother suburbs in that direction you enter Melbourne by comeing over the 'West Gate Bridge', which is the largest bridge in Victoria, there you can see the skyline (although it was raining the day i took this photo). To the left of me in the car is the docking area for the cargo ships, which is like a little fairy land at night time with all its lights. To the right of me is Port Phillip Bay, which leads through the heads out to the ocean! During the construcion of this bridge it fell down killing many people - as it is quite a fall! Melbourne is so beautiful to look at when you return home as the houses are so individual and the streets are covered with trees. Shopping centers here are MASSIVE! it can take me an entire day just to touring the shops on the different levels. The Melbourne Market (Victoria market, on Victoria street-city) is a great place to do food shopping. They have many different stores selling meat, fish, fruits and veg. and in the markets you can find anything from moterbike pieces to candles! highly recommended for the experience as well as saving a few dollars! |
This photo is taken from South Bank - a little area found near the Crown Casino, filled with restaurants and people. It is situated near the Yarra river, following this leads you to gardens, off St Kilda Road. Melbourne is made from a fine blend of culture, for example In the center of Melbourne city, you can find China Town, and Lonsdale St holds the home for Greek culture. There are Italian Nights in clubs, Greek nights, Arabic nights. Its a fantastic cocktail of entertainment. |
