Makkum is a very nice and quite little village in Friesland, The Netherlands. You can find it at foot of the Afsluitdijk, close to the sea and lake. In the summer you can find many people at the beach surfing, boating and swimming. In the winter is also nice for skating.

  • Pros:Many antique shops and galleries.
  • In a nutshell:More than just boats and foreign people!
