first years in bucharest - i got tired and believed was getting dizzy only when seeing those thousands of people in the morning rush hour. In time i begun living it, then tasting it. From time to time, i even look for crowds, to fell as part of them.
If you know where to look, and if u're relaxed....then you'll have a lot of fun in here. just look around!
- Pros:away from the large boulevards
- Cons:no lookout point for panoramic views
- In a nutshell:former "petit-Paris", now a large bazaar

Fascinating page. I have had desire to seee Bucharest for many years. I have a real fascination with Romania. Maybe I will get there in 2009.
A few new details within your page. I remember Bucarest since early 90s. It had been just before Causescu fell down.
