Summer 2006

Last year we did a "road trip" around Britain. What an adventure! It beat the nightmare of airport queues and reminded me how much our own 4 countries have to offer.

I must get lots of pages set up - meanwhile here's a photo that I think shows the peace and beauty that can still be found in even these crowded islands

By contrast to last year's trip, in 2004 I visited Chile and Antarctica (and a bit of Argentina).

It was a 50th birthday special - I couldnt have asked for a better one - standing on the Antarctic continent on my birthday - a lifetime ambition fulfilled.

I still havent got my pages on - but one of these days will add some tips and some of the 800 photos....
