"(not quite undiscovered) Rocha--Punta del Diablo" Departamento de Rocha by ellielou

Although there are many beaches in the Department of Rocha (pronounched Ro-sha, with a soft "c") we were really enchanted by Punta del Diablo. Punta del Diablo doesn't have a listing on VT, so it's in its Departmento....
Lucky us, there during a heat wave at low season, so could take full advantage of deserted beaches and lower prices.
....one side has electricity, and the other doesn't. we stayed on the electrified side, since no electricity is so last, last, last century. but, the non-electricity side does have its many charms....
Punta del Diablo has a weather-beaten look about it...very apealing.
- Pros:laid back, blue sea type of place....
- Cons:forgetting your flashnight after an evening out

"best houseguest" is VT AWOL. Don't know why i'm wasting the keystrokes thinking he'll c my HP anytime soon. Not sure why he's pulling a BradBrown. (How do you like that for a new term!)
Great place for a get away! if you have any questions regarding your BG trip, feel free to e-mail me, will try to help. Christina
