Beyond Expectations....

....I'd read great things about BsAs: that even hardcore anti-urban types (not me, since I love cities) would not be immune to its many charms...and, well, I thought, so much hyberbole...well, I was wrong...BsAs is AMAZING!

No one prepared me for how great (ok, and really great looking, if I'm going to be totally superficial about it all) the people of Buenos Aires are. When I apologized for my poor (really non) Spanish, they apologized for speaking only "a little" English. When I look confused, someone asked if we needed help.

Really, what can be bad about a people who like meat, ice cream, dogs, music, and "Los Simpson?"

Ok. There's the best beef you've ever eaten in your life, and if the portenos eat it, strangely enough, medium, or even (gulp) well, you can order get this amazing stuff medium rare, or rare....just ask.

Not only that, but ice cream and dulce de leche...and empanadas...and wine, cheap in price but not in quality.....

And, just about everyone's in really good shape. Go figure. I WANT to be a porteno! Please. Por favor.
