"Cool! Glaciers!" Top 5 Page for this destination Parque Nacional Los Glaciares by ellielou

The "famous" one

Pietro Moreno glacier is the most famous of the many glaciers in the area...since it's receeding, and creaks and crackles, and, if you're lucky, you'll see a piece fall to the water.

The Lake

The icebergs are too big to float away....so, they just stay, creating a really beautiful scene.

Man, I really want to go down to Patagonia but it looks like it may have to wait until next year or the year after. Bummer! Great photos!

Looks like you had a great trip to Argentina. We definitely need to get ourselves down there some day.

If you had wanted to climb on glaciers, I would have taken you up to Mt Hood and roped you up in a crevasse! You would have had to bring your own alcohol, though ;-\
