Huntsville is located 65 miles (104 km) North of Houston. This page is built mainly to share with you the pictures I took during the Huntsville prorodeo which takes place every year the last week-end of March. It was such a wonderful experience!

|  | Otherwise, Huntsville is sadly known for its high security prisons, including the one where people on death row are executed. The prisons where people on death-row were kept used to be near Huntsville (20 miles of it at Ellis I prison in Riverside), but now have been moved to Livingston (50 miles from Huntsville, Polunsky Unit for men), and Gateville (150 miles from Huntsville, Mountain View Unit for women). There is a museum on Texas prisons in Huntsville. |
