In construction We were on our way back to Houston (Texas) from our vacations in Utah, when we picked Trinidad, in Southeast Colorado as a convenient stop along I25 Freeway. We got a room at a motel (Trinidad Inn) and went on reconnaissance for something to eat in town. At first, it looked really bleak. Although downtown Trinidad, a small town, has beautiful century old buildings and cobbled streets, most are empty and for sale (the reason for this was obvious when we drove off the next day: there is a Wallmart in Trinidad). One nice stone building on Main street, however, looked well kept and there was a sign saying "restaurant, open". So we went in. What a wonderful surprise!! Rino's is a fantastic restaurant which is worth stopping at even if you have nothing to do in this little town along the freeway. If at least, you need an overnight stay on your travels along I25, pick Trinidad just for a great diner at a bargain price. nickidee Thu Aug 11, 2005 02:18 UTC Absolutely! Rino's is the best! Spectacular meal, plus singing waiters at night! Most fun and delicious dining experience we've had in a while. A shame we're in MD, and that's in CO. Everyone should try and check it out if you can! Well worth the trip! | Maillekeukeul Wed Apr 13, 2005 14:33 UTC Y a pas un village voisin qui s'appellerait Tobago, des fois ? ;-D | Rhondaj Fri Mar 4, 2005 22:25 UTC those stinkin' Walmarts!! | mtncorg Wed Nov 3, 2004 21:34 UTC Just the place to load up after a day on Culebra Peak or in the Great Sand Dunes! ;-\ |
