*Paris, you make my head spin! (Edith Piaf song)

This page is dedicated to all the Paris of the world. What do you mean, you say? Isn't there only one Paris, the one and only, the most beautiful city in the world?? Well…No!! Many other places in the world have been named Paris, or contain Paris in their name. Most of them seem to have been inspired and dedicated to the capital of France. Just type "Paris" in the search engine of Virtual Tourist, and you will get the 85 matches listed below.

I do not intend to describe every single Paris there is. First, I have only been to a very few of them, and these are the ones I will describe here.

Finally, I did not want to build yet another page on Paris, the capital of France, as Virtual Tourist is already full of excellent ones. I recommend
- Davequ's: excellent hotel & restaurant tips, but also great photos and other tips,
- ExGuyParis's, Guyon's, and P&J's: great systematic descriptions of the all main attractions and the many off-the-beaten paths
- Maillekeukeul's: original page to discover "the good, the bad, and the ugly" of the real Paris, great photos.
I am still giving my own few tips on Paname (old Parisian slang for Paris) though, sharing with you my favorite restaurants, hotels or pictures. This page will probably be in constant construction...

I like your description of the Jussieu campus (ugly huge grey modern square castle-like building with a high tower in the middle). You say you used to be a student there?

Have not been to Tour for years. It is over rated overpriced and simply not worth the $$$ and the attitude. That being said, we had a marvelous duck . Fought like hell and oiut intimidated the clone of a Maitr D' to get a window view of Notre Dame.

There is even a Paris in South Africa, although they changed the name to the Afrikaans one called Parys ;-)

I agree with your review since I was there 2 summers ago and the place was warm, friendly and enjoyable. Oh and the food was great too.......French w/ a little island flavor. I'd love to go back when I'm in Paris.

Very enjoyable - so many versions of Paris! Then, of course, the movies such as "Paris, Texas" and a strange Australian one called "The cars that ate Paris" (the Paris being a mythical Australian town) - see IMDB.

We read your comment on Hotel du Mont Blanc and made our booking directly from your article. Cheers for that.

My husband and I discovered this gem on our honeymoon. The owner was so warm & food was terrific - pappardelle with mozz & tom sauce. We wend back a second time and had gnocchi & shrimp in saffron cream sauce. To die for! We still reminisce.

It's easy to see why the Hotel Henri IV is so popular - CHEAP & location, Location, LOCATION!! :) Plus, the breakfast is pretty good & it's free. :) The place is clean, the views are suberb and the building is historic!

Question: Why is it that the Henri IV is so popular when it's obviously a place no one would pay to stay at in another city?
