The new townhall - la nouvelle mairie!!

Le progrès est en marche grâce aux effort du prolétariat Salaisien (je vous ai dit que le maire est communiste?): la construction de la belle mairie s'est achevée en 2006! Vous aimez?

Progress is moving forward in the hands of the Salaisian proletariat (did I tell you the mayor is communist?)!! The building of the beautiful new townhall was completed in 2006! How do you like it?

To add to the touch, the center of town is decorated with big balls, called locally "the mines"...
Pour completer le decor, le centre-ville est decore par de grosses bouboulles vertes, surnommees "les mines"...

The slaughter of downtown by mayor & friends

Le massacre du centre de Salaise par le maire et ses accolytes.
20 or even 10 years ago, Salaise center was very pretty, old France like with nice pebble and mud buildings in the traditional way. But the town got rich through the many companies located along the river Rhone on its land. The mayor office has thus decided to modernize the town. They thus torn down century old building to be replaced by modern, the ugliest possible, cheap looking and disgusting (can you feel i am upset here?) buildings. It is a total slaughter and a disaster!!

Il y a 20 ou meme 10 ans, le centre de Salaise etait encore tres mignon, assez vieille France avec ses batiments en galets et torchi traditionnels de la region. Mais la commune est devenue riche grace aux entreprises et usines construites sur son territoire le long du Rhone. Du coup, le maire et ses conseillers, ne sachant pas quoi faire de cette mane, ont decide de moderniser le village. Ils detruisent donc systematiquement tous les vieux batiments du centre ville pour les remplacer par des batiments modernes, tous plus laids les uns que les autres et qui ont l'air de camelotes abominables (vous rendez-vous compte la, que ca me fait assez raler??)! C'est un massacre total et un vrai desastre!!
