Outside Greater Toronto area: African Lion Safari
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • African Lion Safari is located just 50 km south-west of Toronto.
It is a "safari" park that allows people to view animals up close.
The animals (Lions, Giraffes, Baboons, etc.) can get closer then you think.
Some have been known to chew off license plates, window cleaners and even antenna, so make sure not to bring a Mercedes, Lexus or a car that you like very much, although this rarely happens.
You can't feed the animals but observing them is a lot of fun- expecially if you have children.

Parks & Gardens: Credit River, Mississauga
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • This park is 10 km west of Pearson International Airport. So if you like nature and planes, this is the park for you.
It may seem strange for any rare wildlife to be living so close to an airport that handles 28 million people a year, but it seems as if nature has adpated to plane traffic..
Some of the rare wildlife (rare in the Toronto area)includes Eagles,Hawks,Deer,Tortoises,Beavers, and the occasional Coyote.-These animals may not be rare in Canada, but it is rare to have them living near the center of a city with 2,500,000 people don't you think? ;)

You really don't have a clue what you are talking about when it comes to hockey....what about Edmonton Oilers , Montreal Canadians, and the Calgary Flames (who are in the Stanley cup finals)?????

Not sure that hurricanes are an incredible danger in Toronto. Deep freezes are a little more common. Raccoons can carry rabies, and do incredible damage to property. They should be avoided.
