I present to you the Tatry Mountains..... Mt.Rysy (2499m) is the highest point on the Polish side of the Tatry. The highest point on the Slovakian side is the well know Gerlachovsky stit(2655m). There are a wide variety of flora in the park which include dwarf mountain pine, spurce, conifers and oak. The fauna in the park include Eagles, Hawks, Bears, around 100 wolves, approx.50 lynx and well over a thousand fish ( espically trout which are very common in the park's rivers during late autumn, when they swim from the Baltic Sea- which is well over 1,500 km away to spawn) There are now an estimated 100 eaglets(baby eagle) per square km-and that's why we need to keep this national park safe from destruction!

Mt.Giewont(1894m)is seen in the picture. It is a fairly high mountain to be found so high north of the High Tatrys-which are located about 8 km to the southwest. Zakopane is located 3 km to the north-west and Kuznice is located 3 km to the east. The tatra mountains cover a realitively small area- about 20,927ha), but they are a grreat place for tourists to come to. There are the only mountains in all of Poland that are alpine in character. There are many valleys in this park, with the largest one being Dolina Koprowa-which is located just south-east of Kuznice(in Slovakia). There are also many pure water streams, the most popular one being the Skupnlow Uplaz, which passes thourgh Kuznice. The water in these rivers is clean enough to drink. It is safe becuase there is hardly any pollution up in the mountains and the water has been flowing in the same route for thousands of years, washing away all the bacteria from the rocks.

Things To Do: Pair of Snow Leopards, Krakow Zoo in Krakow,Poland

The zoo is 17 hectres large and has 1,150 animals belonging to 210 species. It is not too far away from the center of Krakow. I found these snow leopards at Krakow Zoo . They are known as an endangered species and are only found in the Himilayian Mountain range in Asia. These two are not family(although they look like it), they are part of a captive breeding program at the zoo. One of these leopards came in August of 2000 to the zoo. Too bad there aren't any snow leopards in the Tatry..

This magnificent castle is located in Krakow (South-Central Poland) and is the burial place of almost all of Poland's kings and Polish hero Tadesuz Kosieckuso. It is located on top Wawel Hill where, according to legend, a fire-breathing dragon lived. (People say he got there by swimming to Krakow via the Wisla River from the Baltic Sea.) Indeed, there is a small cave system under the Castle and there is also a statue of the dragon- real fire comes out of it's mouth every 2 minutes. The Wawel castle/cathderal are located 25 m above the Wisla River and are in very good condition.

These castle offers get views of the surronding countryside, becuase like Wawel castle, it too is located on top of a hill. It has an impressive display of devices that were used to torture prisoners and utensils that were used in the kitchen back in medevil times. *What happened to the tree??(on the right side)Maybe a lightning bolt struck it?? Legend has it that gnomes used to live inside this tree..hmmm..interesting :S this must have been an entrance fit for the king, I mean look at the bridge!:)
