Bat Yam is a few kilometers south of Tel Aviv, known for its beaches and water sports. There is a very nice promenade with a multitude of eateries. There are sports centers and outdoor activities like sailing and hang-gliding. In the municipal park are picnic areas and free summer concerts. Many Russian immigrants live here and Russian is heard all the time on the streets. If you are lucky to live opposite the sea, you will always have a lovely view and can listen to the sound of the waves.
