Beit Hillel is a moshav in the Upper Galilee. My boyfriend and I and another couple rented a car and went to the Galilee for 3 days. We found accommodation on this moshav for two nights. See my info on accommodation. In the background is Mount Hermon and you can see the snow on top. Now is the time to go skiing as there has been quite a snowfall this year. The moshav is very near Kiryat Shmona and Metulla. The first settlers were here in 1940 and then they all worked the land, but now many of the settles have built rooms to let and it has turned into a tourist village. There are restaurants as well as a clothes, shoe and jewellery shop and also a gallery. You can also arrange to go kyaking or take a jeep ride from here. The scenery from the moshav is beautiful. It is difficult to imagine just how lovely the scenery in the Galilee is unless you go there. |
