Once, in the middle of the 20 century the Hungarian football was the best in the world with legendary players with Puskas in the head who lead the national team twice to world cup final. It was the Hungarian football most glorious time.
Today the football in the country is not in the highest level as it used to be and the teams struggle a lot with the big, rich teams from western europe. But even after all trhis its worth to go and see a game in the Hungaria league because the stadiums are great and the atmosphere is electrical.
OIn the summer of 2003 i went to a football game of my admired team from Israel - Macabi Tel Aviv against the slovakian team Zilina (the game was held in Budapest because of the bad security situation in Israel). the game was held in the stadium of Ujpest, a prety famous Hungarian team and i was really suprised from what i saw because i expected a small and old stadium but it was a new one, organized, neatand it even had a full roof. The game was fascinating, unfotunetley my team lost the game but it was an experince that i will never forget.
The stadium also has a small kiosk so if you want a snack its not a problam to get it.
