Most of the chances are that you will arrive to Israel to "David Ben Gurion" Airport in Lod and it will take you about 30 minouts to get to Tel aviv. The time depands on the traffic.
Tel Aviv can be called Israels second caital, most of the economy and entertainment activities of Isael happen here and not in Jerusalem.
Tel avivs populsation is getting close to 500000 and in all the metropolin that include Ramat-Gan, Bnei-Brak, Holon and more it get over 1 milion.
Don expect to find in Tel aviv castels or historical monuments that ages houndreds of years because there are not, instead you can look for a city that devaloped a lot in less then 100 years, started from a little community of of people (artists, intellectuals and more) who designed the attitude of the people here.
The first steps of Tel Aviv were in 1906, when a group of Yaffo jews gathered to built a new modern neighborhood. Akiva Arie Weiss was the leader of the group and he described the new city in the next words:
"As New York is a symbol as the Gate of America we have to improve our town so in the future it will become the New York of Israel"
Today we can easily say that this words are true
Tel aviv is known a city of entertainment. There are many cafes, bars and clubs. Istraels best clubs are in Tel aviv of course.
The city is very fashionbale one, you wont have problam to find designer clothes in the cities malls or in Kikar Hamedina. The coolest street is Shenkin which is full of botiques and cafes, Dizengof is the most central and expensive str.
Thats a city of Education, the Tel aviv university situted here, its a huge campus with tousends of students.
In summer you can go out to Tel avivs beach or to some parks (Park hajarkon, Gane Iehusuaa and more).
You can visit the new Azrieli Center, some high buildings which consists offices, shopping center and from the upper levels you can have an amazing view to Tel avivs center.
Tel aviv is a very modern city, if you wanna see some Old structers you can visit old Yafo Which has many beautiful old buildings which were built more then 100 years ago in the Ottoman times. Yafu harbor is also an place you can visit.
- Pros:The Center Of Israel
- Cons:The Rush Hour (its always rush hour..)
- In a nutshell:A lot of sand that became metropolin in less than 50 years
