The Ren Amsterdam is a very nice property, better than most establishments of the same brand, and located in a nice quiet area. It is very close to the train station (3 blocks) and within walking distance to the main sights. Service is excellent, rooms comfortable and ample for European standards. I was very pleased with it.

This decent Marriott is average comparing others in Europe but still a good option in Amsterdam, mainly due its excellent location in the museum area. It has better dining options around than the Renaissance near the train station which also belongs to Marriott. Choice between both is tough as both are really good and within the same price range.

Nemorino Fri Sep 29, 2006 07:31 UTC Glad you had such a nice visit to Amsterdam! I spent a few days there last May and had a great time cycling all around and going to the opera and concerts. I agree that it is a beautiful and vibrant city. | pieter_jan_v Sun Sep 24, 2006 08:35 UTC A very sound advice for spending some days at Amsterdam in your intro! I could not say it better. BTW, Pasta di Mamma is at: PC Hooftstraat 52, PJ. |
