Transportation: Buy individual tickets - skip passes or cards!

Getting TO/AROUND: Prague's public transportation system is efficient and cheap. It has 3 metro lines and 26 tram routes.

Tickets can be purchased at all metro stations, major tram stops and news stands. The most common ticket costs 12 Kc=0.40 euros and is valid for 60 minutes. The 8 Kc=0.27 euros is a non-transfer ticket for rides under 15 minutes on trams or up to 4 metro stations.

Passes are 70 Kc=2.40 euros for one day or 200 Kc=6.80 euros for 72 hours. The Prague card includes this last pass but costs more than 30 euros!

Bottomline is that you won't benefit from passes or, even less, the Prague card. Just buy a bunch of tickets and use them as needed. Besides, you won't use public transportation in Prague as you may do in Berlin or Vienna. Prague is mostly a walking city.
