It is a nice 3 star hotel, in the Recoleta area, with many activities within walking distance. If you travel on a budget this is your pick. Clean and nice rooms, polite staff and affordable rates. Pay a bit more and ask for the junior suite.

The Alvear Palace Hotel is the most traditional hotel in Buenos Aires along with the Marriott Plaza. It opened in 1932 in the best area of Recoleta, the most refined neighborhood of Buenos Aires. It is only 5 minutes away from the business district but far enough to avoid its frenzy atmosphere. Rooms and decoration are classic and stylish. If you prefer modern hotels look elsewhere.
Unique Qualities: Superb service and perfect location. Member of the Leading Hotels in the World.

This is a great hotel, in a great location near the Recoleta area and other sights, for the discriminating traveller. It may cost a bit more than other 5*, but it's worth the extra cost.
Unique Qualities: Modern hotel with a restores palace attached. Walking distance to the Patio Bullrich Mall, a small but sophisticated place to shop. Great location, very safe in the evenings. Plenty of restaurants and shopping around.

The Microtel is located on the Costanera avenue by the Rio de la Plata and only 5' from Aeroparque, our domestic airport. It is nested in an entartainment area with a golf driving range, restaurants, bars and clubs. However, the place is pretty quiet at least during weekdays. The hotel is modern, neat and clean. It has 75 room some of them overlooking the par-3 golf course. Very recommendable if you have an early or late domestic flight. May be not the best location for sightseeing or shopping.
