Not only from outside, this place looks excellent from inside as well. The renovation work done on the cathedral is excellent and architecturally as well its very nice, worth a visit !!

From outside this really is a beauty ...... it was also very close to my hotel so I went there couple of times to appreciate the beauty of the place. Flee market is also very close to this so you can see a lot of tourists around that place looking for souvenirs :) ..... so be ware of pick pockets ;-)

I think I remember the name correctly, anyway as soon as we got down from the bus, we were given a warm welcome by a band and they took us to the Palace. This palace is famous for the Amber Room and this room really is an amazing place. There has been a lot of renovation done as it was completely destroyed during the world war 2, so if you compare the pictures which they have after ww2 and now, you can see a major difference ...... they have spent alot on renovating this palace :)

Its nice to take the boat ride and see the major attractions of the city, the pic I have posted is of a mosque in St. Petersburg :) ..... they also showed us from outside the old KGB building which locals still call it The Big building :) as per the guide during the old days even from the basement of that building you can see the entire Siberia :)

This is kind of a modern palace and there are huge spacious lawns around it and as per the guide Putin spends time in this palace when he is in St. Petersburg so there is a lot of security around that place and you need special persmission to visit it inside. Their are special vans which take you inside and we had a dinner in the palace which was really nice :)

The picture which I have posted is of the hotel outside the palace, here you sit in the vans which take you to the palace offcourse you need to have a pass with you while you are there.

Directions: Dont ask .... its somewhere outside the city center

This is also a very nicely renovated palace, they have taken major things from this palace and put it in Hermitage Museum, but the palace is really amazing.

Yusupov was basically a muslim (Initially he was called Yousuf) and he was also not a member of royal family but his family was quite affluent and considered to be one of the richest family of that area. I forgot but one of his son or daughter married someone in the royal family.

This palace is really worth a visit the architecture and furniture used by them at that time is really amazing.

One of his family member (female, i forgot the name) used to be good in acting, so she used to have dramas and plays in that palace so the picture I have posted is one of the arenas in that palace
