I am currently an American Living in Kherson Ukraine.

I have found that even though Kherson isn't a rich city. It is rich in people and culture. The streets are safe enough for children to be walking home late at night and the crime rate isn't that high.

Iceburg is a nice cafe located close to the lenin statue in the center. This is where the Western guys hang out. more travel advice

Looks like Kherson still the same as before. Haven't been there for many year. Planning to go for holiday for 2 weeks, to see family. Cant speak Ukranean (only Russian) hope its wouldn't be a problem
