Travel highlights so far ...

1. Siting on the beach in Reykjavik, Iceland June 2004 late at night looking at the Midnight sun.
2. Bathing in the Blue Lagoon, Iceland.
3. Walking on a glacier in Iceland.
4. Climbing Mount Vesuvius in flip flops!
5. Walking around Pompeii.
6. Watching the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest live in Istanbul!
7. Going inside the Pyramid of Mycerinus, Cairo.
8. Cruising down the Nile
9. A felucca sail at dusk on the Nile, Luxor.
10. Watching the raising of the Greek flag on a deserted Acropolis at 8.00am in the morning, after just 3 hours sleep on a clear, sunny early winters morning!
11. Watching the Nice Carnival parade.
12. People watching in Monaco.
13. Skinny dipping in Rhodes, Greece for the all over tan!
14. Taking the lift to the top of the World Trade Centre, New York.
15. A champagne summer picnic in Hyde park, London followed by a concert at the Royal Albert Hall.
16. Taking the No.1 vaporetto along the Grand Canal in Venice.
17. Dancing and getting drunk on cocktails at the Showtime nightclub in Krakow.
18. Drinking mulled wine at the Christmas markets in Prague and Krakow.
19. Seeing Aida at the Met in New York.
20. Hiring a junk around Aberdeen Harbour, Hong Kong.
21. Taking my first Boeing 747 flight to Hong Kong and landing at Kai Tak airport.

Hi Mark - I loved reading about your travel highlights - I have always wantd to go to Iceland. Watching the midnight sun would be amazing.

Hello Mark, I was trying to find a travel buddy and I found your page. Wow! You must have to share a lot about the places you have visited. Don't know if you might be interested in traveling with somebody to Hawaii, Switzerland, Brazil, French Polynesia or some other destinations. Anyway it was very nice to discover your small space on the World wide web. :)
