This Chinatown is the 3rd biggest in the world. Only the ones in San Fransisco and New York rank higher. You could easily spend a whole afternoon just walking around Chinatown and tasting the atmosphere. Go shopping for spices and clothing in one of the many shops. Or have dim sum for lunch in one of the many restaurants. And you may also want to visit a Buddhist Temple.

One of the biggest markets in Toronto is St Lawrence's. It's not only big, it's also indoors. The market is opened every day except for mondays and sundays. On saturday the market opens as early as 5am. You can find loads of goodies inside such as vegetables, bread, fish and meat. But also souvenir type things and things to use in your home. And right across the main building there's another market called the farmer's market. This one only has fresh veggies, meats and bread. The building itself was established in the late 19th century, and was used as the city hall. It wasn't until the beginning of the 20th century, that St Lawrence turned into a market.

St Andrew's is a beautiful church in downtown Toronto. It was constructed in the 19th century out of sandstone. This was done in a very Romanesque Revival style. What strikes me the most is the big difference between the new and the old. And yet they live together in perfect harmony.

Not only New York has one, Toronto has one too. The Flatiron Building is a small 5-storey house from the 19th century, in the heart of the city. It is surrounded by a big number of tall skyscrapers. Just like the St Andrew's Church, this is a perfect example of the old and the new coming together. It is called Flatiron building, because it is shaped in the form of an iron. That means it is a bit triangular in shape.

The Toronto City Hall is one of the most beautiful pieces of modern architecture I have ever layed my eyes upon. It looks really beautiful with ity's ingenious curves. It was built in 1965 by a Finnish architect. In the park surrounding the City Hall you can enjoy free concerts in the summer, or go ice skating in the winter. Besides the main lobby, the building is not accessable for the public.

THE landmark in Toronto is the CN Tower. You can see it from virtualy anywhere you are in the city. With it's 553 meters height - it's bigger than most of the surrounding buildings. Besides admiring the building, you can also go inside - and upwards. There is an observation deck located at 342 meters above the ground. A ticket will cost you 19,99 Canadian dollar. This gives you entrance to the observatory and the glass floor. Inside the building you can also visit the restaurant for lunch or dinner. Actually tere are 3. There's the 360 restaurant, Horizon's Cafe and market place plaza.
