The New Yorker sounded, and still sounds, like the perfect hotel in New York. It has a good location, a good reputation and a good price.
The hotel is 44 storeys tall, which makes it one of the bigger buildings around. So you're bound to have a great view of Manhattan. It's also a very clean hotel, and the service is very good. The rooms however can be very small. But if you're in Manhattan, why would you stay in your room anyway?
Unique Qualities: The hotel is right next to Penn Station. So if you arrive by train, you don't have to walk far with your luggage. At this station you can also take the subway to virtually anywhere in New York, whether it's uptown or downtown. In less than 5 minutes you can be at Macy's, Times Square or the Empire State Building on foot.
