Fatima
Fatima is known all over the world for as a place of religion. People come here to pay for their sins. They do this by crawling on their knees across the big square. This square is twice as large as the one in the Vatican. Fatima is also the host of some wonderful architecture.

Tivoli
Copenhagen is a very charming city. It doesn't look like it has the masses of tourists at all. It's quite a big city and all the sights are located throughout the center. Still it can easily be done on foot. There are some buildings you wouldn't see anywhere else, like the Round Tower. The harbours are very nice for having a drink or two. And of course there is the Tivoli. This is an amusement park dating back to the 1800's. There are a lot of attractions, restaurants and live entertainment there. And it's also almost one big botanical garden.

Little Mermaid
The Little Mermaid is the symbol of Copenhagen and Denmark even. Therefore you really should go see it. Okay, it's just a statue. But it's the symbolism that I liked most. On your way to the Little Mermaid you will also come across Geffion Springvand, a beautiful fountain.

Carlsberg Glyptotek is an art museum. It was founded by the Carlsberg family, famous for their beer. There are 3 main features, Egyptian art, Italian art and paintings. The museum is so big, you can actually get lost there. Even for non art lovers, this is a must see. On wednesday you can get in for free. The museum is located near the train station, at the Tivoli.

Roskilde Cathedral
Roskilde used to be the capital of Denmark. And I can assure you that has left it's mark. The main feature in Roskilde is the cathedral. It's one of the biggest in the country. Roskilde is also hoe to the Vikingship Museum, which is certainly a must if you are in town. But what makes Roskilde most famous is the music festivals which takes place every year in June.

Vikingship Museum
Roskilde is the home of the vikingship museum. You can see a few ancient vikingships and some new replicas. In the museum there's also a display on the history of the ships. And in teh courtyard you can see how the ships were made.

St Servaas
Maastricht is one of the oldest cities in The Netherlands, founded by the Romans. It is situated in the very south of The Netherlands, near Belgiun and Germany. In the city you will find a great number of city walls, cathedrals and other buildings from as early as the 9th century AD. Highlights include St Servaaskerk, Onze Lieve Vrouwebasiliek, Onze Lieve Vrouwewal, Vrijthof, Bonnefantenmuseum and St Servaasbrug.

Antwerp Skyline
Antwerpen is one of the biggest cities in Belgium, and also one of the most beautiful. There are more than a lot of amazing buildings in the city. And you won't find many tall buildings here. The Antwerp Zoo is one of the main tourist attractions, as well as the museum of Belgians most famous painter, Rubens. The nightlive in Antwerp is one of the liveliest in Belgium.

Finike
Turkey in a Europe page may sound weird to some, but not to me. Part of Turkey is in Europe and Turkey is a candidate state for the European Union. More than enough reason to include it.
The beauty of Turkey is its diversity. The country is so big, that it has 7 different climates. There are big cities, nature parks, beaches, small villages etc etc etc. I especially loved the history. This came through in the south and near Pamukkale. There you can see ancient structures and graves from the Romans and other great civilizations. Besides this, the people and the food are terrific. The people are extremely friendly and the food is extremely delicious.
