Another football trip which sadly could only be for a day. It would have been nice to spend at least one night and explore a bit more but it wasn't to be - at least not this time.

Thanks to those VT'ers who posted replies to my questions prior to the trip and directed me to some great pages on Eindhoven. Sadly I was really busy at work in the previous week or so and had only made quick scans aiming to spend the night prior to departure taking in all of the detail only to find the VT site was down all day!

Lesson learned - never leave it to the last minute!

We flew to Brussels and then were taken by coach to Eindhoven, a drive of about 90 minutes. Can't say that the scenery was enthralling but I guess it was pleasant enough countryside.

We were blessed with clear blue skies all day and temperatures in the eighties. Don't know if that is normal for this part of the world but I hadn't expected it. However it was perfect for sitting outside enjoying a drink and we were spoilt for choice with the number of cafe bars around the main market square.

Thanks to the PSV fans for being so friendly and welcoming. It was nice to be in a part of the ground which was mixed with both sets of fans. Usually we are segregated and due to the guys alongside speaking such good english we were able to swop banter throughout the match.
