Nightlife Spot: The Free Trade Inn - Byker

On first view you may be forgiven for thinking the Free Trade Inn is due for demolition! In fact it is a thriving bar which is frequented by students, members of the local arts scene, old hippies, and generally anyone who likes a good glass of beer in relaxed surroundings. Don't let the exterior deter you.

There are several real ales available, a free juke box and the customer base is cool!

From it's large windows the pub has the best view on Tyneside of the bridges and river Tyne.
