Thailand... "The Land of the Smiles"

I have been to Thailand three times during my lifetime and each time I have been there. I have always enjoyed the friendliness of the people, the great shopping and the fantastic food. Thailand is great for all budgets. It is an affordable country to stay in and there is so much to see and do here. The temples are a delight to visit and for some reason I have always come away from them feeling a sense of peacefulness almost in a tranquil like state. If I want to really feel relaxed in Thailand I will head to a temple. Thai music is also relaxing!
Day 2- Taking it easy

My Introduction to Thailand

Flying from Bahrain to Bangkok takes approximately 7 hours and during the flight I got terribly ill and had a disgusting migraine which started in my right eye on the way over. I was that sick that when we touched down at the

I was vomiting and could hardly stand up. One of the airline crew on our Gulf Air flight had obviously asked someone to help us get through customs as swiftly as possible as I was in no condition to hand over my passport and this kind and thoughtful Thai woman filled in all my bits and pieces and got me through customs. Once I had reached our Hotel I was pretty bad and had to spend the rest of my day in bed!

A right eye migraine followed by food poisoning! That trumps my "Could be worse" worst experience.
