In the time I have been in Saudi Arabia, I have only spent a short period of time in the captail city Riyadh. I had the opportunity to go there when I had to visit the British Embassy to get a Visa to go to England.
Unfortunately I only had a night's stay there and it was during Ramadan. If I had more time I would certainly loved to had a look around the place and check it out a bit more. Perhaps one day I may be able to visit this city, but I have been there and it looked very nice from what I did see and there were hundreds of shops that looked really good. |

My experience with Howard Johnson is about the same...lobbies are nice rooms very basic. |
