If you want quiet and other Oaxaca de Juárez, Mexico Hotel/Accommodation Reviews

I really liked Las Mariposas. My room was small but clean and inviting with nice touches like the ceramic sink in the bathroom and shiny wood furniture. It opened up onto a quiet patio with tables and flowers.

Some rooms are bigger and include a kitchenette.

Breakfast was included in the price of $35, and was served buffet style on another patio. There were many corners and niches (some sunny, some shady) where one could cosy up and read a book or talk to other guests.

Unique Qualities: Very quiet if you get a room at the back.

The owner is very friendly and helpful. Some English is spoken, but of course the more Spanish you know the better.

Note: you get a discount when you pay in US dollars ($35). If you pay in pesos it's about $4 more a night!!
