"Patricia Fought Mann 1933-2004" Osage by chauncenetta

I don't think I've ever been to Osage, unless I was just passing through, as we all are anyway, but it's where my mother was born, in a hotel room in a small Oklahoma town. An Indian Reservation, populated by Osage and Cherokee, oil drillers and expatriates from Yankee land. So this was where she started this particular life journey, ending out West again in Colorado following an urgent sojourn to get the hell out of Cleveland but who knows where her soul was when it left this earth? It doesn't matter, she visited me in Istanbul in the form of a butterfly.
I doubt I'll ever make it to Osage, but it's notable in that this was where she started.
