Dean Martin was a native of Steubenville, Ohio, a beautiful little town populated by Italians and Greeks who migrated there many years ago to work the coal mines in addition to mining clay for pottery. Steubenville is very proud of their Favorite Son, as well they should be. Every year they celebrate his life and his music with "Dean Martin Days." They hold the event in the Steubenville High School gymnasium. It's very sweet. The room is full of people patiently sitting and watching the plethora of Dean Martin impersonators. There is an absence of irony which is poignant and refreshing. They have genuine love for this man and give him tribute every year. |

You forgot to list the University of Steubenvelle You can see live "speaking in tonuge" demonstrations at their evening church gatherings (no joke). This place was like walking into a B movie, back in time and into another dimension all at the same time. |
