    Getting TO/AROUND: The best way to see K.I. is in a four-wheel-drive.

    Many of the secondary roads are not paved, so a bicycle tour is only for the fanatical. Distances are too far for walking, and a bus tour is... well, I don't know about you, but I *hate* being herded around and rushed from place to place and made to wait while people buy junky knick-knacks and t-shrits that say "My grandma went to K.I. and all I got was this crummy t-shirt."

    Travel with a tour that does 4WD or rent one yourself for use on the island. You'll be much happier that way.
