Yummy friendly Thailand...

by ExoticGal - last update: Jan 24, 2004

Couldn't get into Golden Palace
I came to Thailand twice, but fell in love with their food years ago. I'm a girl, so not very interested in, say, Patpong or Pattaya, hehehehhe... & I'm an atheist, so not very interested in pagodas and temples. But I'm a traveler, and I just LOVE Thai people for their warm smiles and ability to cook yummy yummy food.

The above pic was taken during my last visit to Thailand for a NGO/UN conference. We skipped one session (*sobbing*, still feel guilty for that, but it's the only way to discover Thailand as our agenda was super-intensive) and visited Golden Palaces, but they were already closed. So just can stand outside and take pics.
Yummy food

yum yum... Tom Yam Koong

With Taweesak- my close friend whom I met in S'pore in July- Nov 2000, and his friend, in one of Bangkok's biggest shopping centers. He treated me great Tom Yam Koong, a kind a sour soup cooked with shrimp, ginger, mushroom, and herbs... (what else, Thai people?)...I love Thai food thanks to him.

Reception in Bangkok

We were invited to a reception at Thailand's Ministry of Foreign Affair. Still, the food is so... memorable.

The Quen had lunch in the Oriental Hotel when I was there, but I didn't see her. Saw one of the princesses shopping for gold though.
