A. S. Pushkin: "Our Fatherland is Tsarskoe Selo"

by Pablos_new - last update: Dec 13, 2004

"Отечество нам Царское Село"

This place was called Tsarskoe Selo (Tsar's Village) in the past. In the soviet times it was renamed in honour of Alexander Pushkin, the greatest Russian poet, who studied here in Tsarskoselsky Lyceum.
Very good and informative site about Tsarskoe Selo is here:

Both the pond and the Palace look great. Seems like the great place to visit - hope the museum will manage to control the crowds somehow.

Morning! My best memories are connecting with Pushkin. I was there on summer 2003. Very beautiful place. Unfortunatly we didn't visit the Palace -too many people.
