Britt's Wanderlust

by OCNJBritt - last update: Jan 24, 2007

My dog "The Rock Star"

I got bit by the travel bug and I'm sick as a dog.

I hope I never get better truly. I love being a member of the VT community. Some of my travels are listed below and I'm working on my pages as my schedule allows...I work full-time in Higher Education. I'm also in school part time trying to move along on my Master's degree at the University of Pennsylvania...so, like I said, when time allows...enjoy!

I have recently updated my Costa Rica travel pages and am getting my pics together to create my Sweden and Denmark pages...

Next stops: Czech Republic, Hungary, and Peru!

"All men dream, but not equally. those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes, to make it possible." - Thomas Edward Lawrence

My Top Spots: Costa Rica and Sweden

Both of these countries are so diverse. They remain my favorite travel destinations for not only the kindness of their people but for the fun and adventure that they deliver...

Whatever you're interested in...whether it be the festivities in a local pub or 6km trek to a waterfall, these two counties are worth a lengthy visit.

Check out my pages for each...

My Beach Spots: CR, Panama, Mexico, Jamaica, DR

If you want warm weather and expansive shorelines, I recommend trips to Costa Rica, Panama, Mexico, Dominican Republic, and Jamaica.

I've spent time at each locale and gotta say that each country has its unique gifts:

Costa Rica: A beautiful people and wildlife
Panama: A rich history and collectible craftsmanship
Mexico: A party at every cantina and unbelievable Mayan ruins
Dominican Republic: A diverse people and terrain and an inspiring hope
Jamaica: A delicious cuisine and a people who know how to enjoy life

My Other Destinations: Denmark, Spain, GB, Italy

Arst and history are so alive in these countries that it is a reminder to me, as a North American, just how young the USA is.

Cathedrals, art museums, shopping, dining out, theater...it's all accessible and fascinating.

My North American East Coast Destinations: Below

My East Coast travels include the coast of Canada all the way down to the southernmost Florida Keys.

I've done overnights at hotels, homes, campgrounds, universities, you name it on my trips down the coast...

Nashua, New Hampshire: See the Political Primaries at their best
New York City, NY: Everything
New Paltz, NY: An artisan's village in an upstate university town
Boston, Massachusettes: Cheers!
