"Great Fishing in Shasta Lake" O'Brien by einstein47

Boat Fishing (from the O'Brien arm of Shasta Lake)

Start at either Centimudi Marina or Oak Bottom Marina, both have a gift shop and snack bar and are very good. I would recommend either a Porta-Bote (if you're lucky enough to have one), or just a regular canoe, if you don't. Either way, go anywhere you want. Just be sure to return to a boat launch (yes, of course it could be the one you are starting from) on one of Shasta Lake's main tributaries: the Sacramento River, the Pit River, or the McCloud River. Be sure and catch a lot of
fish, too!

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:good fishing at nearby Shasta Lake
  • Cons:hard to leave
