This place restores the soul. We stayed in a yurt in a pasture just below the Tash Rabat caravanserai. We slept on the floor of the yurt on woven felt and yak hide. We ate local food. We squatted over probably the most repulsive toilet I saw in Kyrgyzstan.
We soaked up the pasture life for a few days. Such a simple life, pure pleasure.
Our host was Sabyrbek - a maths teacher who hires out his yurt through Shepherd's Life to help pay for his daughter to study English at university. He had a younger son and an 8-year old daughter CHalpon (who hit it off with my children).
