    • Swimming in the estuary is very dangerous: hippos and crocs live very happily in the water and can munch you in a moment! Swimming in the sea is fine, although near the estuary mouth it is dangerous (if the mouth is open). Elephants have also been released on the Eastern Shores, and now walking unescorted in that area is not allowed. Walking alone in other areas of the park is still fine.
