| Family reunited after the climb |
|
| | Climbing 8622km away from home The climbing party came down 2 days after we arrived in base camp, without summitting, after spending 3 days at Camp 3 (6100m) and making several summit attempts in strong winds and snow. A good day finally arrived, but by then, my husband was suffering from diorrheoa and vomitting and my brother was not willing to summit without him. So they came back down to BC. When their guide arrived in BC with news that my husband and my brother were about 45 minutes behind him, the children and I charged up the path to meet them. Hugs and tears and kisses followed! It was good to be a family together again. |
