Favorite Dish: We decided to try appetizers rather than a full meal, so I had the Chipotle Chicken Quesadilla (a five-cheese quesadilla with chipotle-spiced chicken, walnut pesto, fresh Roma tomatoes and pico de gallo) while LJ had the New England Crab Cakes (two handcrafted crab cakes served with remoulade sauce and fresh mixed greens).

The cuisine at The Cottage is fun, light, and grilled, with distinctive flavors from the Southern California sun and the Pacific Ocean.

Favorite Dish: LJ ordered the special of the day which was the Grilled Shrimp & Spinach Salad (grilled shrimp, feta cheese, grapes and macadamia nuts) while I had the Crab Melt (rock crab with red/yellow peppers and mayonnaise on sourdough parmesan cheese toast with avocado, melted cheddar cheese, onion, lettuce and tomato).
