Maybe this tip should go under "Things to Do Tips". :-) Anyway, in Patong beach, there are many A Go-Go bars, most of them located at Soi Seadragon (small street off Bangla Road). There will be lots of their crew members lining up along the streets asking you to go see the show. It's all up to you to decide whether to go in the bar or not.
In these bars, you can watch beautiful (some maybe not) Thai girls dancing (and maybe some other unexpected shows, which could be a little disgusting at times) to music clothed in nothing more than a bikini. The shows are basically free, but you need to order drinks in the bar. And please take note, NO photos or videos or any kind of recording are allowed in the bar. Tips are at your own discretion.
These girls are not totally nude since this is prohibited by Thai law, although many places have shows where the girls are partially or totally nude.
So, if you have an open mind, visiting an A Go-Go bar will surely give you a unique insight into this kind of entertainment known from Hollywood movies. Otherwise, it's definitely not the kind of show for a family.
